You may obtain general information about academic advising from our IEC representative Kelly Hinosawa. If you would like to schedule a meeting with Kelly to address any of your questions and concerns, please call (951) 827-4113 and make an appointment. 

Academic advising is available for every student through their respective departments. Counselors are available for appointments during regular school hours. Please keep in mind that their available time slots are quickly occupied with students needing their assistance, so scheduling something a meeting with them should be done in advance. Every student is given a scheduled time to register for classes through the internet. Please be aware that there may be a hold placed on your registration by various departments that will prevent you from registering for classes at your scheduled time. These holds will not be removed until you contact UCR and have them released and/or until you arrive on the UCR campus. You will then be able to register for classes upon your arrival to campus, and will be exempt from any late payment fees.

Obtaining a UCR ID Card

You may obtain your UCR ID card upon your arrival onto campus. UCR ID cards are distributed at the UCR Card Office in the University Commons, Suite 249 and you will need your student ID number to apply for the card. Your picture will be taken there, so you do not have to provide any type of photo.
