Kelly Hinosawa
Associate Director
MS Education
Kelly advises international students and coordinates the International Peer Advisors Program and the International Women's Exchange. She has over six years of experience in International Student Advising and a has a Masters degree in Intercultural Communication. Kelly has studied and worked in Japan and speaks Japanese. |

Cathy Bruington
Administrative Services Manager/Notary Public
"I've been working at International Education Center since 1979, having first come to work here when I was working as a temp during breaks while attending California State University, Fullerton, pursuing a B.A. in Art. I graduated from high school in Riverside and my family still resides in town. I'm half Mexican-American (maternal grandparents were from Guanajuato) and have had the pleasure to travel to Mexico several times." |

Michael Cruz

Mike studied abroad on EAP in Siena, Italy during summer of 2000. His travel experience extends to twelve European countries and the Philippines. His experience with EAP has allowed him to work in Europe two consecutive summers as an Italian translator and resident counselor. He states, "Studying abroad is the best decision I made as an undergraduate." |

Deja Gworek

Deja has worked in a local law office, first as a bookkeeper and then as a legal assistant and office manager. Four years ago, she returned to UCR to work at the Extension Center. She was the International Student Advisor there for the past three years. She have also traveled to various parts of Europe over the past two decades and hopes to continue her travels to see many other parts of the world in the future. Whether here in her position assisting international students or in her travels abroad, she loves meeting people from other countries and learning about their cultures and I look forward to continuing to do so. |

LaSharon McLean Perez
International Project Coordinator
MA Theate/Graduate Diploma Applied Linguistics
LaSharon manages front desk operations and provides friendly service to all visiting the International Education Center. LaSharon has a multiethnic background which is African-America, Cherokee, Irish, and Puerto Rican. She speaks Italian as a second language. She is also gaining knowledge in Spanish and Hebrew as a third and fourth language. LaSharon has also studied abroad in Italy and Australia. |
